Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 24 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website courtixpadel.com (the "Site") and your registration for and participation in padel leagues, competitions and related services operated by Courtix Padel Limited ("Courtix", "we", "us", "our").
By using our Site, registering your interest, or entering one of our leagues, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or services.
1. About Us
Courtix Padel Limited is a company registered in England and Wales.
Company registration number: 16987939
Registered address: Haslers Hawke House, Old Station Road, Loughton, Essex, IG10 4PL, United Kingdom
Contact: info@courtixpadel.com
2. Who Can Register
2.1 You must be 16 years or older to register for and take part in a Courtix league.
2.2 Age-separated leagues. We run separate leagues for adults (18+) and for young players (16–17). Players aged 16 or 17 may only enter our dedicated 16–17 league, and will not be placed in a division with adult players. Players aged 18 or over may only enter our adult leagues.
2.3 Players aged 16 or 17 must have the consent of a parent or guardian before entering. We require:
- Confirmation of parental or guardian consent at the point of entry;
- A parent or guardian's name and contact details; and
- Confirmation that the parent or guardian has read and accepted these Terms on the player's behalf.
We may decline or cancel an entry where this consent cannot be confirmed.
2.4 By registering, you confirm that the information you provide — including your age — is accurate and that you are eligible to take part. We may ask for proof of age.
2.5 Courtix leagues are played in pairs. Where required, you must enter with a partner. You are responsible for your own partner arrangements unless we expressly state otherwise. Players in the 16–17 league must partner with another player in that league.
2.6 We may decline or cancel any registration at our discretion, for example where eligibility or age cannot be confirmed.
3. Registering Your Interest
3.1 Submitting your details through our Site registers your interest in a future Courtix league. It does not guarantee a place, form a binding contract to provide a league, or oblige you to take part.
3.2 Places in leagues are subject to availability, sufficient demand, suitable venues and confirmation by us.
3.3 We will contact you with details of leagues, availability and how to confirm a place. A binding agreement to take part is only formed once you have confirmed your entry and, where applicable, made any required payment, and we have confirmed your place.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Where fees apply, the amount, what is included, and the payment terms will be made clear to you before you confirm your entry. You will not be charged without your agreement.
4.2 Any fees, entry costs, prize amounts and inclusions communicated to you at the point of entry will form part of the agreement between us for that league.
4.3 Entry must be paid in full before your place is confirmed, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4.4 We reserve the right to set, change or withdraw pricing for future leagues at our discretion. Any change will not affect a league you have already entered and paid for.
5. Your Right to Cancel, and Refunds
Your statutory cancellation right
5.1 Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers who buy services online normally have a 14-day cooling-off period.
5.2 Where your league has a specific start date and period of performance, this right may not apply, as contracts for leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period are exempt under those Regulations.
5.3 Where the cooling-off right does apply, and you ask us to begin providing our services (including allocating your division, scheduling fixtures and booking courts) before the 14 days have passed, then:
- By confirming your entry, you expressly request that we begin providing the services immediately;
- You acknowledge that if the services are fully performed within the cancellation period, you will lose your right to cancel; and
- If you cancel after we have begun providing the services, you may be required to pay for the services supplied up to the point of cancellation, including any court bookings, administration and other costs already committed on your behalf.
5.4 To cancel, email us at info@courtixpadel.com stating your name and the league you entered.
Refunds
5.5 Subject to clauses 5.1–5.4, entry fees are non-refundable once you have joined a league. By entering and paying, you accept that your fee is non-refundable, including if you later withdraw, are unable to attend fixtures, or choose not to complete the season.
5.6 We are able to run our leagues this way because we book and pay for courts, prizes and other costs in advance of the season starting. Those costs are committed on your behalf as soon as your place is confirmed.
5.7 This clause is brought to your attention before you pay. You will be asked to confirm you have read and accepted these Terms, including this refund policy, at the point of entry.
5.8 If we cancel a league before it begins, we will offer you a full refund of any fee paid for that league, or the option to transfer to an alternative league where available.
5.9 If we cancel or abandon a league after it has started, we will consider a partial refund or credit reflecting the proportion of the season not played. This is at our reasonable discretion.
5.10 We may declare a league void where completion is not reasonably possible. Where we do so, clause 5.9 applies.
5.11 Cancelled, postponed or rescheduled individual fixtures do not entitle you to a refund. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected fixtures.
5.12 If you are removed from a league under clause 9 (Player conduct), no refund will be given.
5.13 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
6. How Leagues Work
6.1 Players are placed into divisions based on the information provided (such as skill level) and our assessment. We aim to create balanced, competitive divisions but cannot guarantee the standard of any individual opponent.
6.2 Fixtures, formats, scoring, promotion and relegation, and the number of matches will be communicated to you for each league. We may adjust these where reasonably necessary (for example, due to withdrawals or venue availability).
6.3 Where courts are provided by us as part of a league, we will arrange and pay for those court bookings as described at the point of entry.
6.4 We reserve the right to adjust fixtures, venues, timings or division structures where necessary to run the league fairly and effectively.
6.5 You are responsible for attending your fixtures. Repeated non-attendance may result in results being awarded against you, or removal from the league without refund.
6.6 We may correct obvious errors in published league information, fixture lists, standings or results at any time.
7. Prizes
7.1 Where prizes are offered, the nature and value of the prize will be described at the point of entry.
7.2 Prizes may be provided by Courtix or by a sponsor or partner. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless expressly stated.
7.3 We reserve the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value where the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
7.4 Where a prize is provided by a sponsor or partner, that third party's own terms may apply, and we are not responsible for the supply, quality or delivery of their goods or services.
8. Referral Programme
8.1 We may from time to time operate a referral programme allowing registered players to earn rewards for introducing new players.
8.2 The referral programme is governed by its own Referral Programme Terms & Conditions, available on our Site, which form part of these Terms.
8.3 Referral rewards are not refunds, discounts or a reduction of any entry fee already paid.
9. Player Conduct
9.1 You agree to behave respectfully towards other players, opponents, venue staff and Courtix representatives.
9.2 We operate a zero-tolerance approach to abusive, threatening, discriminatory or violent behaviour, cheating, or any conduct that brings the league or a venue into disrepute.
9.3 We may issue warnings, remove you from a fixture, division or league, or ban you from future leagues, without refund, where we reasonably consider your conduct warrants it.
9.4 You must comply with the rules and requirements of any venue at which you play.
10. Player Connections and Site Features
10.1 Our Site allows you to search for other registered players by username or email address, send a connection request, and build a list of connections.
10.2 There is no messaging function. You cannot send messages to other players through the Site. Connection requests can be accepted or declined, and declining a request does not notify the sender.
10.3 When you use these features, certain limited profile information (such as your display name or username) may be visible to other users. Do not use a username or display name containing personal information you would not want other players to see.
10.4 You must not misuse these features, for example by sending large volumes of unwanted connection requests. We may suspend or remove access to these features, or your account, where they are misused.
10.5 You can decline any connection request, remove an existing connection, or ask us to block a user or restrict your visibility, by contacting info@courtixpadel.com.
10.6 If you have any concerns about activity on the Site, please report it to us immediately at info@courtixpadel.com.
11. Photography and Filming
11.1 Matches, events and finals may be photographed or filmed, by us or by our partners, for use in promotion, social media, highlights and online video content.
11.2 For players aged 16 or 17, we will not photograph, film or publish images or footage without the specific written consent of a parent or guardian. This consent is separate from consent to take part, and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.
11.3 Adult players who do not wish to be filmed should tell us before their fixture and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this.
11.4 Please note that group photographs or wide footage taken at venues and events may incidentally include players who have opted out. We will make reasonable efforts not to feature such players prominently, but cannot guarantee they will be absent from all background footage.
11.5 You can ask us to remove an image or clip of you at any time by emailing info@courtixpadel.com, and we will do so where reasonably possible.
12. Safeguarding
12.1 We are committed to providing a safe environment for all players, and particularly for players under 18.
12.2 Our 16–17 league is run separately from our adult leagues, and we take reasonable steps to ensure young players are not placed in fixtures with adult players.
12.3 Our online player connection feature is open to all registered players, but includes no messaging function — players cannot send messages to one another through the Site. Any player can decline a connection request, or ask us to block another user, at any time.
12.4 Any concerns about the welfare or safety of a young player should be raised with us immediately at info@courtixpadel.com.
12.5 We may remove any person from our leagues, venues or platform where we have concerns relating to the safety or welfare of other participants.
13. Health, Safety and Assumption of Risk
13.1 Padel is a physical sport carried out at your own risk. By taking part you confirm that you are physically fit to do so and have no medical condition that makes participation unsafe.
13.2 We strongly recommend you seek medical advice before taking part if you have any doubt about your fitness to play.
13.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Courtix is not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage suffered in connection with your participation, except where caused by our negligence.
13.4 You are responsible for your own equipment and personal belongings. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property at any venue.
13.5 You should ensure you have appropriate personal insurance if you require it.
14. Our Liability
14.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
14.2 Subject to clause 14.1, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of enjoyment, arising from your use of our Site or participation in a league.
14.3 Subject to clause 14.1, our total liability to you in connection with any league is limited to the amount you paid to us for that league.
14.4 We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, pandemics, government restrictions, industrial action, venue closures, utility or IT failures, or any other event beyond our reasonable control.
15. Use of Our Site
15.1 You may use our Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
15.2 You must not misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or introduce any harmful code.
15.3 When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
15.4 Usernames. We reserve the right to require you to change a username or display name that is offensive, misleading, infringes another person's rights, or impersonates another individual or organisation.
15.5 Account suspension. We may suspend or terminate your account where you breach these Terms or misuse the Site.
15.6 All content on the Site, including the Courtix name, logo, text and graphics, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or use it without our permission.
15.7 League tables, fixture lists, standings and results published by us remain our intellectual property.
16. Your Data
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms. Please read them to understand how we collect and use your information.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on our Site at the time you register or enter a league. We will post any changes here with an updated date.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
